Friday, May 20, 2011: Join us for our first fundraiser of the year! Sample a variety of wines, cheeses, snacks, and desserts while helping to support our service project to provide kitchen equipment for Casa Hogar Mi Esperanza (Hope House) home for boys in Jalisco, Mexico. Entry is just $25 and all proceeds will go toward the project. Festivities begin at 7pm and will end at 9:30pm. The venue is our club member’s apartment at 825 West Cornelia #2B in Chicago. - Wednesday, May 25, 2011: Join us for a night at the Goose Island Beer Academy! This beer academy will feature bock style beers. You will have a chance to sample about 12 different beers from all over the world while learning about them from the Head Brew Master. Arrive no later than 6:15pm at the Goose Island Brewery at 1800 N. Clybourn in Chicago. Ample parking is available and this location is easily accessible via public transit. Admission is $20 per person to be paid that evening. Limited spots are available so RSVP to Lauren Marquez-Viso (llamamama4@yahoo.com) as soon as possible. The event will end around 9:00pm.
- March 7, 2011: Violinist Itzhak Perlman joins the Chicago Symphony Orchestra in Concert to End Polio. All proceeds from the event will benefit Rotary’s $200 Million Challenge.
